Warren, a Belgian fintech startup, has secured €10 million in seed funding to revolutionize retirement savings. Led by Motive Ventures, this investment round also includes contributions from FCapital, Entourage, Syndicate One, and 100IN. Founded by Cedric De Vleeschauwer, Warren aims to address the shortcomings of Belgium's supplementary pension system. The company believes that traditional pension products often fall short due to low yields, inflation, fees, and limited transparency, leading to a significant social problem that is often underestimated. De Vleeschauwer emphasizes the importance of not just pensions but also the overall prosperity of both the present and future generations. Warren's innovative approach involves a workplace pension platform and financial coaching service. The pension fund is managed through a diversified portfolio of equity and bond exchange-traded funds, allowing employers to switch without increasing pension budgets while employees retain full investment returns. Additionally, Warren's financial coaching platform combines AI-powered guidance with human advisers, integrating data from various sources to help users make informed decisions about retirement planning and other financial matters. With around 100 Belgian businesses already adopting the platform, Warren is poised for expansion, both within Belgium and across Europe. The €10 million funding will support team growth, product development, and platform scaling, positioning Warren as a leading force in the European wealthtech space.
